Photoshop CS3 Extended Crash on Startup

I had exact same problem. Solved it by going to programs/ Adobe/ Adobe Photoshop/ Import-Export/ Twain32. Place~ in front of Twain32. ~Twain32. Problem solved. Program opens and closes and operates fine.

The twain plugin was the problem! Thanks guys! Ya’ll get some good points in my book ;-). Look me up some time.

(and no, i never got a ctrl+shift+alt response… but im sure i can now)

Can you provide details on how you fixed the issue. I have the same problem. Where was the twain32 file located?

I solved the Issue. Renamed the Folder c:\windows\TWAIN_32 to c:\windows\~twain_32.

The problem occurred with Dell AIO 922 printer.
