Even in the short run, you'll still need to know your way around Photoshop. It's an amazing program, but it isn't magic, and requires some diligent effort applied by the user.
Besides that, every object to be isolated in an image requires its own set of techniques. Some are very easy, and some require many hours of practice to master. Most objects require a combination of techniques for best results. We can't even tell you what techniques to focus on, because we don't know the nature of the object you wish to isolate and cut out of the image you're working with. Even with 3rd-party plugin tools, you still have to have a basic understanding of what you're doing.
I suggest you have a look through the many links in the following thread. Keep looking until you find one that seems to be something you can understand.
