are you hitting tab? tab again causes them to reappear.

No, I’m not hitting tab. This one really baffles me.

have you reset your preferences? (not palettes). instructions are in the FAQ section… clears up all kinds of weirdness.

Yes, I did that once this started happening by doing a Alt+Control+Shift as I started Photoshop. That deleted my settings file but still didn’t correct the problem, which is why I went to this forum for help. Any other ideas?
