Photoshop CS3 Help programme

The help programme should contain an "additional how to" content enabling me to create my own "how to" tips under the help folder. It doesn't exist. How do I create or import it?

He means this:

Maybe update or re-install the Help files?

Edit: Have you tried clicking that one at the bottom?

The ability to add topics to Help would be a great feature, but I have never heard of a way to do it.

Thanks to both of you.

John. I don't have the bottom line "show all menu items".

How do I update or reinstall the help files without reinstalling the whole CS3 programme which I am reluctant to do? (It alsways causes problems).

Before that go to Window > Workspace and choose the default workspace.

If that doesn't help go to Window > Workspace and choose Reset Menus.

If that doesn't help try resetting your preferences as described in the FAQ.

You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.

This resets all settings in Photoshop to factory defaults.

A complete uninstall/re-install will not affect the preferences and a corrupt file there may be causing the problem.

Thanks John.

Neither default workspace nor reset menus has done it. I am struggling with resetting the preferences but having difficulty at the moment. I will report if I have any success.
