Does anyone know if it is possible to run Photoshop or Lightroom on an ultraportable PC (ie one using an Intel Atom Processor)?

In theory - yes. But since the Atom barely has any caches and no extended accelerated instructions it will be like working on a C64, presumably. Starting up the programs alone may take forever...
