CS3 began to operate strangely (eg multiple unrequested Help windows, customized Colour Settings not sticking) so I decided to reinstall CS3.
First I deactivated CS3 (standalone, not part of a suite) then I tried to uninstall it. Using (Vista’s) Program/Features I started the uninstall process – this began ok but stopped with the message:
"Summary
Errors: 2 components:
X Adobe photoshop CS3
Component removal failed
X Shared components
Component removal failed"
Then I tried to Reinstall the program (also from the Program/Features function) hoping that this would lead to a successful removal. But this led to exactly the same message after a few steps.
So – I cannot remove the program and cannot reinstall it.
Have searched this forum and Googled for an anwser without success. Grateful for any light in my darkness.
