need help with saving files. all of a sudden everytime i try to "save as" a file the save as window pops up for a second then simply disappears and i cant click anything.
the only thing i can do is shut down photoshop in the process list.
already tried removing and reinstaling but it didnt work
any other solutions?

if you're in cs3, I bet it does. do it again. hit save as. then don't hit anything else besides ESC. control should go back to the app. hit save as again and the dialog should have reset itself.
if you're not in cs3, reset the preferences, per the faq at this link: <

could be a couple things... did you recently move from a higher resolution (more screen real estate) to a lower? did you recently go from multiple monitors to a single? the dialog got lost off screen. in cs3 there's code to bring it back (the hit ESC trick). in earlier versions sometimes going back up to a higher res will help you find the missing box, but resetting the preferences always gets it back.
