I’m importing TIFF images into a 3rd-party presentation software. Due to a problem in that software, it doesn’t support 48-bit TIFFs. I opened my TIFFs in Windows Image Viewer, and they indeed are listed as 48-bit. The 3-rd party website simply said "use Photoshop to convert 48-bit TIFFs into 24-bit". How can I make 24-bit TIFFs?

Yep, what Buko said. You can setup a batch action to convert an entire directory at one time if you want. Strongly advise you to backup your source images first.

What Buko said.

If you have a lot of images or have to do this a very often, create anew action and press record. Then Image/mode/8bits.
Stop.

You can now run this action on a folder (or selection of images in bridge) using the Batch or Image Processor functions. 🙂
