I am using a down loaded upgrade of Photoshop CS3. Since I don't have the CD, I tried to use the JPEG 2000 plug in from my CS CD, but CS3 doesn't seem to recognize it. Should the plug in from CS work in CS3? I have tried unsuccessfully to find the plug in as a down load.
Any ideas or help greatly appreciated.

does the download have the equivalent of the "goodies" folder that comes on the disk? that's where the plugin (and lots of other stuff) should be...

Login to to your Adobe account. There is a second download (94MB) along with Photoshop CS3 "Download contains additional Photoshop value-added content including optional plug-ins,...".
Run the file and it will extract to a folder. You will find the JPEG2000 plugin under "\Photoshop\Goodies\Optional Plug-Ins\File Formats"

Thanks to both of you. I guess I must have downloaded the optional goodies file at the same time as ps. Sure enough the jpeg 2000 file in there worked as soon as I coppied it over the the original file formats folder.
Thans again!
