Hi.

(Using Adobe Photoshop 7.0)

I’ve recently noticed that when I open a digital camera picture (taken at 1.6 megapixels) using Microsoft Windows Picture Viewer (XP Default), they look fine. However when I open the same file in Photoshop, it appears very dark. I have tried fiddling around with the levels and contrast etc but I cant get it right. Also it is a very time consuming process to keep fiddling with levels every time I open a photograph.

There must be something i’m doing wrong such as I have a lower quality colour profle set in Photoshop as default and when it loads my photo, it’s converting it to that and losing some image quality?? As you can see, I’ve played around with lots but had no results as i’m a newbie when it comes to graphics.

Would appreciate any advice on how to tell Photoshop to just load the picture ‘as is’ so I can work with exactly the photo that came off my digital camera in Photoshop.

Many thanks for any help in advance.
