Disk error 1

Hello

With large files I keep getting the following error with PhotoShop 7:

"Disk error - 1 occurred while reading or writing to a scratch disk. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable"

and I have to close PhotoShop without saving.

I am running Windows XP home, Pentium 4 2.4 GHz, 1 Gig of RAM and a dedicated scratch disk (40 GB).

Any comments gratefully received.

I have the same setup except for the discs. You have _probably_ run out of disc space, have a corrupt disc, or your swap files are too small.
