I have Photoshop 6.0 operating on Windows NT.
I need to be able to save files as PCX 8 bit 256 color for use on Chyron Codi version 1.5, and there does not seem to be any way of doing so.
Suggestions?

WOW a Cody, that brings back memories. Got a black box version sitting under my desk but no software to run it, been meaning to write my own but don’t have a need anymore.

As for PCX I can’t remember PS 6.0 But I’d start by changeing the colour mode to "indexed" which will get you to the 8bit/256 colour. This might allow PCX in the save as or export options. Also have a look at the origional install disks (assuming you can find them) and check that there isn’t an extra (optional) plugin on there prob in a goodies directory. A few less common formats were not installed by default.

I think IrfanView can convert to PCX.
IrFanView is free.
Do what you need in Photoshop and then convert in IrfanView.
