CS3 Picture Packages

Hi everyone.

I am trying to figure out how to properly create one 8x10 image. Since the picture package dialog box doesn't seem to allow cropping, I get white area along the sides of the completed image when I go to make an 8x10 on an 8x10 sized canvas.

Is there any way around this? I know I could just do it all manually myself, but this is not the point of an "automated" tool.

If photoshop can't do it, are there any other software packages that will let me create custom picture packages and save them as JPGs?

Thanks

Why are you using Picture Package?

I am using them to save JPEGs then print them.

I am also trying to figure out how to get say 2 5x7s on an 8x10 sheet without any borders. Because added borders make the images smaller.

How do I fix this?

Thanks

You don't need Picture Package to save one image!

Regarding your second point, it depends on the printer you have. (And you you don't really need Picture Package for two images either.)

Two 5×7 images are 10×14.

Eh... John, I totally agree regarding what you say about Picture Package, but I think your math is a little off here. Two 5x7 pictures are only 10 x
7. :^)

Your image needs to be in the correct AR.
AR=10/8=1.2 (w/h or h/w)
You should crop to the correct AR before printing any image. You want to control the crop, not the print driver.
