need advice on software for batch conversions

Actually, I did what you suggested before I posted. Still had the problems with some, but not all of the images. I took a couple of images that hadn't been processed at all and tried working with them.

I've decided that this is probably not a Portfolio problem, that the issue with images not loading in Portfolio is like the canary in the coal mine--there's something wrong with the images. Next photoshoot, I'm going to try loading directly into PS and then transferring images into LightRoom, rather than the opposite.

It is a puzzle and maybe I just have too much software vying to help. So far, it remains a mystery.

Well, to get RAW into Photoshop I think you still have to process them, either through ACR, LightRoom, or some other RAW processor. I would try using both the app that came with your camera and ACR, just to test both. If either works that points the finger at LightRoom.

Using lightroom I want to batch convert a large catelog of nikon raw files to jpegs but keep both the original and show my 'title' in the converted batch. I believe this is done using export but don't no how?
