I tried to turn hardware acceleration down, with no results. My video driver is the latest version. Any other suggestions?

Are you patched up to date on your copy of CS2? (Should be 9.0.2)

I did not personalize Windows, far less I did use sth. like windows blinds. Maybe I ruined something with my registry cleaning software :(
