I ran into a similar situation a while back (though with InDy & Photoshop) …. it’s possible that your Windows/Adobe registry is messed up.
Is PM the only Adobe product you have loaded? If not, if you have several other Adobe apps loaded and the "owner" info is different on each one, it’ll pop an error. In my case, I used my company name on one registration and my name on another and it confused the registry. They do that, I think, to curb people using their apps illegally. For me, once I went into the registry and changed all the "owners" to one name, it fixed the problem.
I figure it’s at least a look?

Apparently, according to someone who posted a response to the same question last week, you need to uninstall a number of fonts from your Windows/Fonts folder. Do that. Reboot. Try again.
