I created images in Photoshop using the Art History Brush. I would select Color Dynamic and set the Foreground/Background jitter. Don’t ask me why but we where running Photoshop 5,6 and 7 at the same time. I don’t remember which version I used. Was this a glitch? In CS3 its grayed out. So my question is this which version PS allows the Foreground/Background jitter to be set when using the Art History brush.

Do you understand the concept of the Art History Brush as compared to the normal Brush Tool?

Your question indicates that you may not. You can set the Foreground/Background jitter with the normal Brush Tool selected.

I know what I can do with the normal Brush tool. My question is about the ART HISTORY BRUSH. And like I stated before is it possible that this was a glitch.
