I created an image in ImageReady, and exported it into Photoshop CS2 for its more advanced tools. But now I can’t edit the picture at all. every time I paint over it it doesn’t work (except the eraser, that still works). Can someone explain to me why?

What are the properties of the image? (Mode, bit depth, number of layers)

How did you export it? As a gif? You may need to convert to RGB if it’s Indexed.

But, a good way to bring it into Photoshop is with the Jump button on the bottom of the tool palette.
