Combining two pictures?

Hello,

I would like to bring together two pictures in one but don't know how. I have duplicated one picture and now would like to stick (or put?) one of the duplicates half above the other one, so that it overlaps the other one a bit.
All in all that makes a broader picture - which I need for certain reasons.

Can somebody help?

Thanks in advance!

Try looking at this. It may behelpfull. Extrapolate the info you need.

Or in short
Open the two pictures in full edit.
goto the picture you want to copy from
Select the part you want to copy
copy it
now go to the picture you want to paste it to.
now create a blank layer (control shift N) in this window Now paste the picture you copied into this new layer. (select the new layer first, or just paste it onto the original picture you want to change and a new layer will automatically be created.)
If your using PSE5, on the right hand side there is a list of the layers that you have created as well as the original picture. In this column near the top there is a an Opacity adjustment. You may if you wish use this to adjust the opacity of the picture you pasted into the picture, or leave it alone
