How to disable spacing in CS2

This is where older versions of Photshop reign supreme because this problem could be fixed with CS2.

As you can see on this picture I have issues getting rid of the spacing feature on my brushes. I want it disabled.

Permanently.

As you can see it is not even enabled in the tool menu. Still my brush strokes are "spaced" or as I would like to put it, "useless".

Would someone pleeeeeease tell me what to do?
Or did I just waste huge funds in purchasing CS2 just to encounter I can't use it?

What Andrei left out was that you need to adjust the spacing (his cursor is on it). The "continuous" brush stroke you are looking for is just an illusion; Photoshop actually does multiple brush snapshots as you move across the screen. The spacing setting determines how close together they are. Setting it down low makes it seem continuous.

as said above, this hasn't changed over the last few versions. I'd learn to use a tool before bagging it out.
