I need to send a file to publication for one color printing. I want to print a proof for myself.
I made the project in RGB color.
Is there any way to print it in monotone plus one color? (black and white and red)
Or do I have to actually create it to look that way?

The exact version of the Adobe Application you are running: CS3 Your Operating System details. windows vista
Amount of installed RAM. alot
Amount of free disk space. alot
Printer Details : HP Laser 4600dtn

Any tips on creating something in one color process? Links? I am new to preparing a file for professional printer.
thanks

IF you want separate areas to be in red (spot colour) you will need to create that content in a new spot colour channel (or move content to that channel).

If you want a pictorial effect of red image but with solid shadows, then a duotone would do the job (Mode change to greyscale then Duotone>Duotone)
