I recently upgraded to Photoshop Elements 6.0 and am having trouble renaming files from the "Properties-General" screen. In Elements 5.0 I did it all the time, but in 6.0 when I try to change the name of a picture (usually one I just scanned in and it gave it a default name that I want to change), I get the following error:
Rename
One of more of the selected item(s) is on a read-only volume; these will not be renamed.
I checked all the permissions on the file and folder from the domain server, and I have full access to the file and folder. If I open up File Explorer and go directly to that folder, I have no problem renaming it there, plus I can create new files in the same folder.
So I’m 100% convinced it’s not really a permissions problem. I think it’s a bug in 6.0 that wasn’t there in 5.0
Has anyone else had a similar problem with 6.0?
