CS2 updater on Vista keeps turn off Color Vision Spyder 2

Every time I start up CS2 the updater pops up and kills my Color Vision Spyder 2 profile.

I have tried turn off the Adobe updater by going to the Adobe updater box with the Preferences button. I unchecked the Automatically Check for updates once a month. But every time I start CS2 the Adobe updater still starts up. How do I get the dam thing to shut off?

Yes, I am running Vista Home Premium. Vista sure does S***.

Vista sure does S***.

With unsupported software I imagine it does. These annoyances are the types of things you're going to see running older software on new operating systems.

That said, many people are running CS2 on Vista with no issues at all. Have a bit of patience and perhaps someone will be along to give you some suggestions.

The Adobe Updater may not be running from Photoshop. Adobe Reader, Acrobat or Flash may be starting it.

Now the updater starts only in user mode not admin mode.

Where is the profile being stored? Also, try renaming it.

What profile? Do you mean the Color Vision Spyder 2 profile. That is not really the issue. I need to find out why adobe updater keeps opening up when I open CS2. There are only 4 programs listed in the adobe up dater list: Adobe help center , adobe stock photos, adobe bridge and adobe CS2 Photoshop.
