OK Adobe, you have been dragging your feet for over a year now. WE need a 64 bit version NOW! Your pathic memory support needs fixing! If we need to pay for another upgrade, so be it. Just get it done!

Refresh your memory. <http://www.adobeforums.com/webx?14@@.3bc4168f/7>

This is not the place to communicate with Adobe. The audience here is fellow users that have no control in development.

Are you aware of what’s involved in releasing a 64 bit version? Millions of lines of code need to be written. It’ll happen, but you’ll need to be patient.

Have you seen this:

It will happen when it is financially viable. It isn’t right now. Not enough people using 64-bit OS. This is what happens when your on the bleeding edge of the cutting edge. Live with it.

Hehehee…. he wants a 64bit app for 2 os’es that have only had proper 64 bit versions for less than a year each (10.4 wasn’t a full 64bit os nor were chunks of XP64) neither of which has bugger all driver support at this point… he’s funny.

Seriously, the memory support problem has nothing to do with Adobe but the os’es involved. Even here most of the issues (memory hole, limited addressing) with this stem back to the structure and implementation of the PCI interface almost 20 years ago (god I feel old) which Apple and Microsoft had to work around. Now with a new PCI Express interface and proper 64bit memory controllers and a bios replacement which looks to become increasingly common they might be able to move on to this less than trivial task.
