NOTE: REGRETFULLY, WE CANNOT ACKNOWLEDGE INQUIRIES RECEIVED AFTER MAY 7, 2004.
We are a small company who wishes to hire a talented freelance web artist to create a home page design and layout some other page-templates for a new feature-rich database-driven ASP.NET web site. First and foremost is an artist who has talent for creating a fun, fresh web page that captivates. A demonstrated understanding of color and layout is a must. We’re looking for advanced web-design–not the typical rectangular-region layouts that are easy to create with a rudimentary knowledge of the simplest HTML tools. Ideally, we’d like something distinctive, such as angle-cut rectangles or rounded regions on the web page with possible Flash peppered throughout to liven-things-up. Finally, someone who understands how to work with developers. For example, if you provide "content areas" in your web-page design then the design should not shift when content is dynamically rendered at runtime.
We’re experienced Microsoft-certified programmers–but not artists. This art work we’re seeking must be fresh, fun, and professional. We’re looking only for artists that have a portfolio and an understanding of web (rendering) templates, CSS, Flash MX, HTML/DHTML, and are well-versed in either Photoshop and/or Fireworks. Preferably, they will have some familiarity with server-side ASP.NET controls, but this is not necessary.
The artist will be required to sign and have notarized a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before beginning. The scope of this work is initially about 20 hours–and we’d like to begin in May, 2004. More work will likely follow if we experience success.
Does anyone know how to find such a person? Inquiries/portfolio links may be sent to this address (we already have a logo so please excuse the name of this e-mail address):
(remove ALL dashes–there should be 11 letters to the left of @ and 6 letters after "@" and before "." and 3 letters after "."):
To avoid unfortunate SPAM attacks, etc., we are not able to provide any further details in this newsgroup but we will respond to serious inquiries that contain a portfolio link.
Thank you.
