diagonal lines?

When I try drawing diagonal lines with the line tool the edges are jagged. Is there a way to get nice crisp diagonal lines?

Use Ctrl + F (Blur) and Ctrl + Z (Undo) to blur layer just enough to get rid of choppy lines.

My version is Photoshop Elements 2 do latter versions make it easier to get rid of choppy lines?
