Scanner not working

I've got Elements 4 and a TWAIN scanner (Brother DCP1400). I'm able to scan in Adobe Acrobat and using the Windows Camera and Scanner Wizard. However, I can't scan in Elements. The Scan icon is available under the Get Photo icon but nothing happens when I click. In other programs, the TWAIN driver would take over and I could select the settings for the scan.

I'm at a loss. Any suggestions?

I think I figured part of it out. In the Preferences for the Scanner in Photoshop, the scanner was set to Photoshop instead of Brother DCP. Know it starts the scan but then stops saying an error has occured with no additional info.
