Elements 4 does NOT launch after instalation.

I have installed Photoshop Elements 4 on my XPro desktop. Even reinstalled. Even reinstalled it in different partitions. Every installation was made with all open programs closed and Norton Antivirus disabled.

It does not launch. The error message is, "Attempt to access invalid address."

Can someone please advise how to proceed????

I have reinstalled PE-4 and now can launch it from desktop icon. However, I cannot access either the standard or quick editing features. Get same message as before, 'Attempt to access invalid address.' I tried to use Adobe's web support without any response. Is there another way???
