In Elements 3 I am trying to rename a batch of files to give the filename with a "t" (no quotes) and the extension in lower case. The lower case is not a problem but I cannot seem to figure out how to add a t to the filename.

EG.

PICT0001.JPG to pict0001t.jpg.

What I’m trying to accomplish is resizing to a thumbnail size, renaming with the letter t to stand for thumbnail, and level correcting a batch of files at one time.

Thanks for any help in this matter. I currently have to use Irfanview to do the renaming because I can’t seem to do it in Elements.

Choose File-Batch Processing, Rename, Document name + "t"

That’s what I tried before posting to the newsgroup. It doesn’t allow me to put the "t" in. Only the options available in the drop down menu.

choose "none" from the drop-down list and type in "t".
