Photoshop cs2 has stopped working (Vista)

Hi to all. My problem started 2 days ago. For a month, I had been using Photoshop cs2 properly, without any problem. But 2 days ago, Vista explorer started giving error message just after I open photoshop and see working area. Explorer says "Photoshop cs2 has stopped working" windows is searching for a solution...
I uninstalled it, and re-installed, but the problem still doesn't go away. I performed system restore, but nonsense. What will I do? Should I remove registry entries as well? Or any other folders, files located under documents and settings? I think there should be something wrong with either Photoshop or Vista.
By the way, my OS is brand new. I installed it 1-2 months ago. There's no problem up to now. There's no virus in it. I protect it carefully.
My system is
Dell inspiron 6400
core 2 duo
Vista 32 bit home premium
1 gb ram, 80 gb hdd
128 mb intel int. graphics card.

Thank you for your helps.

Does PS in fact stop working? I get similar messages when I exit PS and from some other programs and Windows components, but the messages appear spurious because everything works fine in spite of them.

CS2 is not supported on Vista...get thee to an XP box or upgrade to CS3...(personally I plan on skipping Vista all together...don't even ask about the ROAMING file...shudder...Just be glad Photoshop has Control+Alt+Shift to delete preferences...Illustrator users ain't so lucky!)

Christine:

CS2 may not be officially supported on Vista, but it works like a champ on Vista 32/64 for me.

We have had nothing but trouble trying to delete preferences on Vista laptops our students have where their parents have set them up as "power users" instead of full admin access (we even have had a couple of adults come in where CompUSA set up their computers as limited rights...but that's a whole different story)

The "Roaming" folder where AIPrefs and IDPrefs end up in Vista is almost impossible to access if the user does not have the correct privileges!

That is by design for security. Just log on as the 'administrator' user and you can access all the other users' files.
