cs3 print size error

Lets say I send a 16x20 inch print to the printer, in this case a hp5500. The page size is set for 18x24,on a 24 inch roll. The page could be 20x24 it make no difference. When the print is finished you find that the print is 20 wide but cut short and is not 16 inch but maybe 15 inches. The same file printed out of Photoshop cs2 with the same setup and it prints fine

There are a ton of reports of problems with the CS3 print engine. One of the Adobe engineers explains the Adobe position about this on John Nack's blog.

Maybe someone in the forums has a work-around for the problem. And have you contacted HP or checked any of the HP user group mailing lists?
