I am using PSE2 and downloaded some additional plugins. I don’t know how to get them into PSE2. I found them in the plugins folder in explorer, but how do I activate them for use? Thanks for any help

I am not sure what Explorer is beyond IE, as I use a Mac, but my instructor, Sara, has many tutorials and I am hoping that this one will help you.

I know at the beginning, I had trouble placing filters where they belonged. Jane

John,

In my experience, once you install a plugin in the PSE2 Plug-Ins folder there is really nothing you have to do to activate it. It should automatically appear at the bottom of the Filter menu. However, if PSE2 is already opened when you install the plugin you will have to close and reopen PSE2 before you see it in the menu.

Which particular plugin are you having trouble with? Maybe this is an exception to the above.

Got it! I had to unzip the files. Did that and found them in the Filters drop down box in PSE2. Dissapointed to find that "Eyecandy" is only the demo version. Anyone have any experience with the full blown version? Is it worth it? Thanks for your help.

Here is another thread on EyeCandy,

Here is how the EC4000 filters look once they are in PSE. If you want me to give you a screenshot of what is in Nature and Textures, I will.
I dont have the third in the series of the new EC yet, I think it will be ready this summer. < http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?pic=14VBhMGlJG65yuY5Ys3dLB 3GL7Op0u>

I do recommend them,
