Patch tool is transparent rather than copy what I want

When I use the patch tool, and drag to what I want "copied", the copy that is dropped into my marquee is a blend of what was there with what I copied, not just what I copied. I don’t have "transparent" checked. It is almost like it is using healing brush properties and trying to blend all together0the existing & the copied, rather just dropping in the portion I selected. Can anyone help?

Hi Karen,
That’s the way the Patch tool works.
To copy pixels without blending just use the Clone Stamp.

You have to avoid sudden changes in the image like hard edges.

It’s a good tool for some things but it has its limitations.

Try re-applying to the same area too.
