Hi group

Just a quick question;
Does Lightroom come in Photoshop CS3, if so how do you access it, or is it a stand alone app?

It’s a standalone app and does not come bundled as far as I know.

David. If you are a Photographer, download the 30 day trial and judge Lightroom for yourself.

Be prepared to adopt a completely different approach/workflow. You will find yourself doing 80% of your editing in Lightroom – and ten times faster than in Bridge/Photoshop.

Think of Lightroom as your main imaging app, and Photoshop (any version) as somwhere you pop the image in to carry out any retouching, localised shading/colour adjustments etc.

If you embrace this workflow, you will not need to use Bridge or ACR.

Lightroom’s official (somewhat confusing) name is Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Photoshop_Lightroom

It’s a separate standalone app which must be purchased separately.

It’s also not part of any of the suites, unlike Photoshop.
