I have installed CS2 onto my new laptop which has the operating system Windows Vista Home Premium it installed successfully but when I open up the programme, I get the message:

You are not allowed to continue because your account does not have the proper priviledges. Please log in using an account with administrator priviledges and try again.
Does anybody have any suggestions to help me solve this problem?

Thank you
Grace

Do you have admin privileges?

It’s a brand new laptop, I only started it up a few hours ago. I created one user for Windows, I automatically thought that it was the admin account so everything could be modified and such on this account. There isn’t another admin account and I’m not sure where to go to change the settings so I can have admin priviledges. Hope that makes sense.

I’ve just checked and I’m definitely the admin on the computer.

Grace this is a Vista issue not a PS issue. You need to address about privileges in the Vista newsgroup. They are a PITA.
You can do that by setting up msnews.microsoft.com and then subscribe to microsoft.public.windows.vista.general

Good luck
