Printing problems to Epson Papermate

When I send a picture to an Epson Picturemate it prints a small part of the picture then quits printing the picture and instead prints out random characters..anybody know how to fix this?
I'm using a laptop HP Pavilion zv6000 running windows XP 986 mhz 1 gig of RAM thanks, Becky

Is Picturemate a separate software? Can you print directly from PSE?

What about going directly from Picturemate.... that is, pulling the image you want to print and print it from Picturemate without PSE involvement. You will then know if the issues is between the two apps or at a different point in the printing process.
