When working on a .psd file, on Layer 0, my goal is to eliminate parts of the image to reveal transparency (checkerboard pattern). I select the Magic Wand tool, and click somewhere in the image where I want to eliminate pixels and reveal checkerboard. I hit delete, and checkerboard is revealed. If I then use the Magic Wand tool to select another portion of the image I would like to turn to checkerboard, it crashes Photoshop. Also same (crash) if I use the Control key to select multiple portions of an image (first click OK, second click crashes).
Running Photoshop CS, Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2 and above.
Magic Wand tool works perfectly, as intended, within Photoshop CS on another computer running Windows 2000 Professional.
