Let me begin by saying that I've already spoken with
Colorvision and they seem unfamiliar with my monitor and weren't able to answer my question.
Calibrating using RGB settings:
My First Question:
my Sony CRT monitor has brightness R, G and B AND
contrast R, G and B settings. When calibrating with the Spyder, should I use the brightness and the contrast RGBs and make them the same number? Or, should I just use the brightness?
My Second Question:
This is more general. My monitor is located in a very light area. I close the blinds etc. when I calibrate, but under most circumstances, during the day, there is a fair amount of daylight in the room although not direct sunlight on the monitor.
Of course it's very different at night and I do work under both conditions.
What lighting condition(s) would you recommend that I use to calibrate?
Thanks
Louise
