I had my picture taken with a presidential candidate which was great, but someone else took a picture with a professional camera with a huge flash that ruined my picture. On my right forehead there is a large circle of light.

I don’t know anything about using photoshop, so I’m having trouble fixing it without any outside help. I tried using the lasso to select and then copy and paste a piece from the other side of my face but it didn’t work. I also tried using the eye dropper with the brush tool, but that didn’t work either.

Someone suggested using the clone stamp tool, but I don’t know how to use that to take the bright circle off my face.

Are there any easy to understand, step by step tutorials?

This is a tough one, not a job for newbies. You might be best off hiring a professional retoucher. Do you have another photo of yourself that could be patched in?

Can you attach a pic or give us a link?

Post a sample here via pixentral, so we can see how tough it is.

I feel funny posting the entire picture, could I post the area with the problem and let you experts take a look at it? I just cut and pasted the area to a blank page.

Its in the center and it takes some scrolling to find. I’d appreciate any help.

If it can’t be fixed I do have other photos of myself or could take another one.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

You should be able to fix it relatively easilly with the rubber stamp tool

(and next time, just post the image, crop out all that white)
