alt key (stamp tool) not working

Alt key ( for stamp tool only ) dosent work in photoshop and fireworks. pl. share if u have right solution.

* Could any other app be "stealing" the Alt+click keystrokes for a macro?

* Are you sure the Alt key is working correctly? (I can see your keyboard is missing e, a, s, y and o So perhaps the Alt key is dodgy too ;-) )

I have reset preferences also, but still problem is same. Alt key is working properly in other softwares.
