Error message

When I open CS2, I get this message:
Could not import the clipboard because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered.

Then I cannot open any images or make a new one. I'm totally lost. Thank you!

Search the forum messages - this one has come up before. The answer was something running in the background, but sorry, I can't remember what it was.

Trashing/resetting Preferences as per the FAQs is worth a try.
