Liquify and memory

Working on very large files and liquify gets stuck for a minute when loading the image (not when re3ndering).

Do I increase memory for PS? Or reduce it to leave more room for filters?

Vista64 4 GB RAM

If you only need adjust a small part of the large file, make a rectangular selection of the area before initiating the Liquify filter.
