I’m running my version of Photoshop 7.0 on Windows 2000, and has worked flawlessly until now. Whenever I try to make a new file, or open one, the screen will remain blank. I’ve searched all over the internet with no luck.

Help?

Look at the FAQs. Trash/reset Preferences.

Have you tried reinstalling the software?

You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.

Also bear in mind that the preference files are hidden – you need to make them visible in Windows Explorer. It sounds like the file New Doc Sizes.psp is corrupt.
