When Windows Live OneCare is running, Photoshop CS2 takes 4 to 5 minutes to open. If you click on the file menu, I get a "not responding" message. When I disable Live OneCare, the problem does not happen and Photoshop will load in about 15 seconds.

The problem continues even if the firewire and Virus scan excludes Adobe Photoshop while the OneCare is running.

I am running Windows XP Pro, with a dual core processor and 2 gigs of ram.

Microsoft is trying to figure this out but, so far, has not been able to. Has anyone had this problem and can you offer any suggestions.

Yes, I to have the same problem. CS2 takes a good 5 minutes to do the final load. If I remove Live onecare from the start up list, and re-start, CS2 runs correctly. I am planning to switch to Norton 360, and see if this problem is resolved.

Try ZoneAlarm or Kaspersky.

Adobe + Norton suites = bad thing.
