CS3, Vista 64, pasting from Clipboard doesn't work?

I can't paste anything from the system clipboard into Photoshop CS3 using Vista 64. Is this a known issue? I need to take screen captures and paste into PS. I can paste into any other program and save the file and then open it in PS but that is a lot of extra work when I do it all the time. Can anyone help with a solution or at least a work around where I can access what is on the system clipboard?

I have the same problem with my PS. I would also like to have an explanation for this problem, and more important a solution...

Is it a Vista issue, which only allows MS Apps to use the clipboard or is it a PS bug? Is there maybe some kind of plug-in I'm missing?

Are you using Vista 64 or regular Vista? It's such an insanely annoying problem.

I solved the same problem by turning the F Lock Key off. Also under accesibility options make sure filter keys check box is not checked.

what's an f lock key? and i've never had any accessibility options on. (filter keys? is that a windows accessibility thing?)

what's an f lock key?

MS Keyboards add functions to the F keys. With the F lock on, the F keys act as they do on any other keyboard but with it off, the F keys take on the behavior for that keyboard alone.

Example...F5 is a browser refresh, with the F Lock on it's file>open.

ah. then no. i've had a logitech cordless since they came out. just a basic no frills keyboard w/no extra "f"unky keys.

my guess is that her problem isn't "solved" anyway. like i said, it's been going on since at least versions 7. i've even discussed it here with chris who said they can't reproduce it. (no surprise, neither can i, reliably). i can go weeks in between the clipboard bug hitting. then again, it can happen a couple of times in a day. i can't figure it out. except maybe it might relate to either switching screen resolutions or multiple virtual desktops (like you get when using ati's hydravision or nvidia's nview) or some combination of both.

dave: you still have an 'F Lock' key to the right, you can turn it off and on by tapping it. with my MS board, when the OS starts it is always 'off', I have to remember to turn it 'on'.

Well you're right. My KB has an 'F Lock' key, but the two other keyboards do not.

Too long in my own little world.
