Installing Photoshop Elements on Vista

Need help from someone who has sucessfully installed Photoshop Elements on Vista. I first tried to run installer and got extraction error message. I then ran installer as Administrator and it appeared to install. When I opened program I got a cryptic message about my display profile. When I first tried to use the editor I got a error message about not finding required file in a library. Then read on help I needed 5.02 patch for Vista. Downloaded patch but got message that it could not find registered copy of application (I downloaded try before buy version). Would be interested in the steps anyone followed to get program running on Vista.

You'll probably get more info if you post in the Elements forum instead of here, in the Photoshop area. Most of us don't use Elements.
