CS2 not showing pen pressure from wacom tablet

I have a wacom, grapphire tablet and the pen pressure is not showing on my photoshop CS2. I have tried opening and closing, restarting and checking my Brush>Shape Dynamics several times but photoshop still does not recognize my tablet pen when I use it. It worked only a few days ago and I have changed nothing, and not even used the program since. I don't think anything is wrong with my tablet either. What should I do?

Things I would try: (if you haven't already)

* try in other programs (Illustrator, ...)
* reset Photoshop's preferences (see FAQ)
* check Wacom's control panel and verify everything is normal there
