Adobe Color Common STI

Does anyone know what this is? I got it as an update but it refuses to install. Knowledge base search turns up nothing.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium and Photoshop CS3 Extended installed,

Adobe updates download and install successfully with the single exception of Adobe Color Common STI. This fails and then advises to re-install the product and try again. If I do it still fails. Any explanation? What exactly is Adobe Color Common STI?

Something else that Adobe sees fit to keep us in the dark about?

I'd steer clear if I were you. According to smartersex.org "One in five people in the United States has an STI" - So they are quite common!

I have sorted out the problem of failure to install some PhotoShop CS3 updates as follows:

I accessed and looked at Windows Vista Event Viewer and noted that logged errors involving Adobe product installs all mentioned Internal Error 2739.

A Google search for Error 2739 resulted in some helpful links, in particular these two:

On the basis of information therein, as administrator I proceeded as follows:

1. Start> command prompt
2. enter regsvr32 jscript.dll
3. reinstall PhotoShop CS3 [successfull, including all components and shared components]
4. download all available PS CS3 updates and install [successful]
