Merge to HDR - CRASH

I'm attempting to run the merge to HDR. Everytime I click on save this is the error message I receive.

Error 8000: Cannot open the file because the open options are incorrect Line: 215

-> var tmpdoc=app.open(tmpFile);

Any input would be appreciated.

Having the same problem - this is CS3 Trial

Used the merge to HDR feature on my laptop with no problem, other than being painfully slow. Notice that this posted almost a month ago with no response.
