Problems with Epson scan software

XP Media Center, 3G RAM, CS3
New Epson v700 scanner

All of the correct windows open when I try to use Epson scan software from inside PS CS2 AND CS3. The scan progresses normally and appears in the Photoshop window but at that point Photoshop is frozen and I have to use task manager to close down the program. I can use the Epson scan software outside of Photoshop and then import the image into Photoshop but that is an extra step. I've never had this problem with another scanning software from inside Photoshop. I've contacted Epson and of course they say that if I can scan outside of Photoshop the issue with with Photoshop. Any suggestions?

You have to shut down the Epson software before using Photoshop. I just turn it off from inside the plug-in. Yes it is a bit of a pain.

For some unknown reason the Epson scan software pushes the scanning software windows in to the back and behind Photoshop. When this happens Photoshop acts like it is locked up. Simply close the Epson scanner software Window and Photoshop will be fine.

Robert, Thanks. That seems to fix the problem.
